Traveling like the Ancient Ones

Sailing on the Nile in a dahabeya is the closest we can get to traveling as the ancient Egyptians did. Authentic dahabeyas are made from wood and have no motors. They have to be light in order to sail, which limits the number of passengers creating an intimate, old world experience.

The dahabeya glides silently along the banks of the Nile with water sloshing at its bows. This "silence" leads us deeper into communion with the elementals, the foundation of the alchemical work we are undertaking.
